The Team Selection
This year, the Sarawak Bloggers team getting bigger and go all out. Thank you to Sarawak Tourism Board for giving us the opportunity. With the high expectation given and being a very fuzzy person I am, I carefully select Miri based bloggers to cover the event.
I successfully recruited 7 bloggers (inc. myself la k).
Just as when the festival approaching closer, two of my selected bloggers withdraw due to work commitments. At first, I felt disappointed but then when you have the passion and faith in what you’re doing; good things will fall upon you eventually. For the last 2 years of covering the event, active bloggers that writes well and creative are my top preference. However, this year, to do something different, the idea of instagrammers came into the picture hence I recruited 2 of Mirian most active instagrammers.
Thank you to Joe for recommending the instragrammers and not forgetting the other team member contribution too. Once the group was formed, we updated each other via social media networking platform (email, Twitter, Whatsapp, FaceBook) and eventually get to meet up in person in few round of TT sessions. The whole idea of meeting up was not only to build up the bonds with each other but also to share information, experiences from the ‘senior bloggers’ and expectations from myself. *coughtheycallmeladybosscough*

On a personal view, I have to say, the organizer has done their part well in the performers selection. Been covering the event for 3 consecutive years and I realized that it’s getting better each year. To be able to bring award winner performers to my small humble city, to be able to watch a world class performances right smack my backyard, to be able to appreciate different genre of jazz are one of those rare moment for a Mirian to remember and one hell of big responsibility to the organizer.
Kudos to Sarawak Tourism Board for the effort and thank you!
Now let see what the other team member had to share on their personal experiences and pictures throughout the jazz festival.
