Like last year, the tree planting ceremony was held at Curtin University, Sarawak Campus Malaysia (my campus). As mentioned by Sarawak Tourism Board, CEO Datuk Rashid Khan, the green program is part of their on-going carbon footprint initiative to check the use of resources that contribute to carbon emissions.
This year, apart from the invited government representatives, STB officials, sponsors, performers, students from Tenby International School were also present for the tree sapling sessions.
After the tree sapling session, we were being entertained with an impromptu live performance by a Canadian acapella group known as the ‘The Nylons’. They were performing ‘When The Lions Sleeps Tonight’ and I was mesmerized by their voices. Goosebumps to the max yo!
ps-more back post to come. 🙂
