Eastern Taste@Siamese Secret Restaurant
Siamese Secret Restaurant,
Lot 513, Ground Floor, Jalan Merbau,
98000, Miri.
I’ve lost count on how many times I had dined at Siamese Secret Restaurant but it’s one of the place where I would love to hang out with friends in a cosy and clean environment (the place had in-door and out-door areas). The place offer varieties of food selection such as Thai, Western, Philippines and local cuisine (most of their staff are Philippinos
). They served varieties of drinks too ranging from soft drinks, hot drinks to alcohol drinks.
This is also the place where I organised my first blogger meet among Mirian bloggers back in year 2007.
I was craving for something hot and spicy so I tried the eastern dish available in their menu. I used to satisfied my taste bud on the western food such as pizzas and nachos here. I’ve tasted their hot, sour and spicy tom yam soup before so I decided to try something else instead.
One of the Philippines appertizer dish in the menu caught my attention. Too bad I’ve forgotten the name of it. The appertizer consist of blanced brinjal, thinly sliced beef meat, thinly sliced tumeric leave, thinly sliced onions, chopped red hot cili padi which had mixed well with lime and lemon juice and some pounded groundnuts as its topping. I love it to the bits!!

For my main course, I ordered ‘Thai Green Chicken Curry’. For a non hot food lover, they’re gonna love this dish as it has mild taste of hotness and rich with creamy taste of coconut milk. I prefer it to be hot and spicy actually. The chicken meat were boneless. I liked!!
I thought of going for dessert after my main course but there wasn’t enough space in my tummy for that. So, I did not ordered any dessert although at that time, I was eyeing for its deep fried ice-cream. ;p
Oh well, probably will give it a try the next time I come here again. ;)
For the record, Siamese Secret Restaurant also provide free wifi internet service to its customer. Extra bonus to those who can’t live without getting themselves connected in the cyber world (people like me ;p ).
