Exploring Niah Cave Part 3 Teaser

Do you know what the ‘death ship’ is for?

with such findings, the usage of coffins might have been long existed before 40,000 years ago

from the size of it, it seems that our ancestor body size are quite petite/small body frame?? ;p

In other word, the ‘death ship’ is a coffin.

The picture of the ‘death ships’ above are found in the famous Painted Cave (Gua Kain Hitam).  Paintings of longboats implicating carrying the souls of the deceased on a dangerous journey to the land of the dead can be seen on the wall of the Painted Cave. These ‘death ships’ found at the Niah National Park are to be believed  some 40,000 years old.
