Friendster or FaceBook

Gone were the era of Friendster and now the ‘in-thing’ trend of friend network platform is FaceBook. Everybody seems to have a FaceBook profile nowadays (including my boss and the team except me) and I can’t stop myself from not hearing the feedback on FaceBook practically every single day.

At times, I felt like I’m left out in certain areas. Was even been teased by my sister for not having one. 🙁

Back in the head, I was questioning myself, why should I sign up for a FaceBook profile?
Just because everyone has it so therefore I have to follow the trend?
After I signed up, what’s next? I’ll be popular?

From my merely point of view and understanding of both platform -Friendster and FaceBook, both program provides almost similar features and functions. But I realised that the impact of FaceBook to its member are so huge that everyone get to talk about it; be it in business deal or in a casual conversation.

Could it be it’s due to more user friendly features offered by FaceBook as compared to Friendster thus it explained on the fast growing number of FaceBook members?

I don’t know and I’m hoping someone out there can share her/his/their findings/experience on these with me.
I would love to hear from you. 🙂

    i don’t have facebook… i think it’s stupid and i don’t need to tell people who am i or what the hell i’m doing…
walaubagaimanapun, facebook tidak menyusahkan orang lain.. ia tidak mengurangkan gaji anda atau menyebabkan anda mendapat penyakit…

I think FB is much much better than FS. One key reason is security. I add up my colleagues, and my supperiors in my FB, but I have managed their privacy so that they can’t actually see my photos or shoutout. I also only let them see, what I want them to see.

In FS, you dont have such things.. so I say, go for FS. Its more secure.

hehehe are you in dilemma? Before this I have the same feeling like you also. First I said to them I don’t want, I only want Friendster. Then they said to me Friendster is outdated already. “Zaman remaja dulok ya”, “dah ketinggalan zaman kau tok”. I feel downed when my friend said to me like that. Then I ask all my friend inside the Friendster network. Do you know what the result? Most of them, they want to delete Friendster account. Wow!!!Even my aunty ask me to join facebook. Hayioooo!!

After my friend “kacau kacau” me, finally i sign up facebook. Now, I addicted to Facebook. Hihihi

Different strokes for different folks. 🙂 FB is definitely better than Friendster.

It’s a totally new level of keeping in touch, and also self-marketing. You can control the amount of info you share, but it’s a wonderful way of keeping in touch. 🙂

Keeping it simple, I am in more favour for Facebook. Friendster is totally outdated.

Well, in my opinion ….. If u really need to just open one… But if u find that you don’t, it is good not to start. At times I find it annoying, But to that extend, it was too late to close my account..

Why people like to have facebook because yeah everybody is talking about having one. But for me, I have friends who uses facebook but not friendster. So because of communication and being invited so much I gave in and opened one. That’s basicly the story on how I started.

you’re wrong, the different between facebook & friendster are huge!.. i mean HUGE!!!. update (what’s on your mind?) on facebook are clear and easy to read, but on friendster really make my eyes sick to read every words.. damn small. next time I’ll get myself lense to me read things easily..LOL!

beside, most of my old friend (which I lost contact for over 10 years) registered in facebook, so it’s very easy to get in touch with them. just type something in share box and they know what’s my status.

The first profile I had was on Friendster, but none of my friends at the time had a Friendster profile. Now, they all have a Facebook profile, but I don’t even use either service anymore. I just use my social network website, and I like it because it’s simple.
(-.-) -not a liker of complex applications for simple things-
