Help DAVID pleaseeee

This morning I received a heartbreaking news via email and I decided to provide my assistance in any way that I can think of though it may not in monetary form.

The email content is as follows…

“To all our dearest family members, relatives, friends and stranger friends who would like to help out. My brother, David Lee Seng Kieong, aged 48 was recently diagnosed with a fatal liver illness, Hepatocellular Cancer. Doctor has indicated a very short survival life span. The only way out is through liver transplant.

David is currently attached to Shell Petroleum in Miri. With 3 loving kids (aged 9-15) and his wife Crystal, David has been faithfully and loyally serving God through his work in various churches in Miri and he is also one of the founder of the Senadin Church for youth in Curtin University, Sarawak Campus. Devoted to God, his family and his work while harbouring hopes of seeing his 3 wonderful kids going through colleges, having health problems was the last thing on his mind.

David and his loved ones are now put to test. Unless and until a transplant is performed, David’s chances of survival is slim or I would say ZERO!!. Nevertheless we believe God is working and HE has a way. We now earnestly, sincerely seek all of your assistance to circulate this email especially to those who knew David to come forward giving only part of your liver to save his life. If for certain reasons, you are unable to do so, we would very much appreciate if you would forward this email.

Following are some information pertaining to Donor Assessment;
· Age 21 – 54
· Donor must be physically fit and liver functioning well, have adequate size and suitable anatomy
· Have blood group that is compatible (in this case, David is of AB group which means he can take any blood group)
· No significant or major health problems
· HIV, Hepatitis B & C should be negative

Donor will be assessed by doctors, cardiologist (if necessary) before transplants. After transplant, donor will stay in hospital for 7 days and should be able to resume work after 1 month (unless donor are involved in heavy physical work). Donor’s liver will regain back to its normal size after few months.

If you would like to help and require further information, please log on to or call us at 012 500 3919. Time is running out, we need your HELP.

“We make a living by what we get, we make a LIFE by what we GIVE” – Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965)

May God Bless You. Thank you.

Lay Hoon, Wendy”

David was an ex-lecturer of Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Campus Malaysia and was the first lecturer (from Sarawak Campus Malaysia) who had won Excellence & Innovation in Teaching Award (a recognition award by the university throughout all of it campuses) in year 2004. David’s was a very dedicated lecturer, teaching is his ‘first love’ and that explains why he is one of the favourite lecturer among the Commerce students.

And earlier on, I received latest updates on David’s situation that he’s coming back from Singapore tonight. He had his first chemo session there. He had no symptom prior to the diagnosis and only found out after a full medical check a few weeks back. All family members have gone through the donor process and are not eligible as they are Hep B carriers. David’s been given about 9 months to live.

So, do come forward if you are keen to save David.

Thank you for spending your time reading this and please spread the words.

Ya…he is one of the well respected lecturer Curtin ever had and now he is with Shell.

Read the thing properly before saying the email/message is asking for money or scam.

Messages is also out in friendsters…it shows how much he is loved by his ex students.

Dear molly, thank you for posting this up. got the email frm a former colleague this morning and trying my best to spread the news in the name of HELP. Known David and his spouse Crystal for more than 10 years and they are a very loving and nice couple. Maybe we couldn’t help in term of money but we can help him in many other ways. This is a shock news to everyone who knows him.

To anyone out there, please..this is not a scam. Let’s try our best to help. May God bless us all!

I just get to know the news from friendster bulletin, but I feel so sorry to hear that news.

I was ex Curtin, he never taught me, but He is SO POPULAR, because of his friendliness towards everyone, so everyone RESPECT him a lot.

Being powerless… but we do need to PRAY hard for him.

Heard that he found a donor recently?
