Imperial Hotel,Miri is one of the hotel in Miri located right in the centre of the city adjacent to Imperial Shopping Complex. It is very convenient for room guest to shop for any last minute stuff should you’ve forgotten to bring prior to your check in. The hotel does not only offer typical hotel room but also suite room aka apartment style to accommodate big group or big family

Government offices such as Post Office, Miri High Court, commercial shoplots, banks, open air bar concept such as SOHO, Ming Cafe, Barcelona, (these cool places are located close to each other and it’s better known as Miri version of ‘Bintang Walk’), eating places such as Aseanika & Chilli Peppers are popular among Muslim community, same goes with SeaWorld Seafood Restaurant as it served seafood lover, 24 hour convenient shop, reflexology centres are all accessible by walking distance only should you choose to explore outside world of the hotel. 😉

I used to attend wedding dinners, organised events, companies events at Imperial Hotel but never had the opportunity to stay in one of its room. So, during the recent Awal Muharam holiday, to do something different, I’ve decided to spend a night at Imperial Hotel. 🙂

prices are subject to change without prior notice

As it was during the weekend, the only affordable room I can get was the Deluxe Room and I was given a corporate rate. The Standard and Superior Room were fully booked then. 🙁

the electronic door tag from inside the room

My room was located at the 8th floor and room guest had to slot in their room card inside the lift before you can reach the floor to your room. I’m impressed with the technology as I feel secured. Upon entering the room, I noticed it had electronic signage button aka electronic door tag for ‘Please Do Not Disturb’ and ‘Please Make Up My Room’. When you press the desired button, it will display the notification next to the room door bell located outside of your room.

Again, I was impressed as I get used to the typical door tag. ;p

Being me, I always check out the room before I really settle down. I dropped my luggage on the floor and started to explore the whole room. I checked out the view from my hotel room.

the tallest building is Mega Hotel

the tallest building on the left is Dynasty Hotel and the other tallest building on the right is Wisma Pelita (the oldesst shopping complex in Miri)

Then I ‘scan’ through the hotel room and the bathroom. Very spacious, nice carpeting and wall paper but I feel sorry for big size people upon sitting on the toilet bowl. The toilet bowl is too close to the wall. ;p

my deluxe room has a king size bed

a nice mini hang out area in the room

yes that's me in action 'stalking' the hotel bathroom ;p

the dressing area next to the bath tub

modern and sleek design of toilet bowl

I noticed Imperial Hotel also provide FREE internet services to its room guest. For this, I am very happy as most of the leading hotels are charging for its internet services. Room guest can go online from their own room and even provide step-by-step list on the internet connection. No password connection required.

the step by step list and you must own a lan cable or else it can be rent for rm25nett from the reception counter

And if the room guest is organising an event at its function room, ballroom or lobby area while waiting for friends or clients, wifi internet connection is available and it is also made free of charge. All you need to do is to get the wifi internet connection password at the Reception Counter. 😉

Overall, I felt my one night stay here worth my money. I’m quite happy with the customer services provided upon check in and out. I have no fear parking my car within the hotel compound. Although there are parking fee imposed but it’s free for hotel guest.

I highly recommend my readers to stay here especially to those who never been to Miri before. Strategic location to eating places, shopping complex and also cool entertainment places to chill & relax (but not for disco places, ok). 😉
