Rainforest World Music Festival 2017 : A Teaser
Like I mentioned in my previous blog post, this year program is the most intense and happening as compared to the previous program of rainforest world music festival ever organized.
It is said that music transcends boundaries. People of all ages, race and religion have converged at Sarawak Cultural Village to share a common interest and that is to enjoy the world’s rich fusion of culture and diversity and most importantly to make friends and to appreciate each other’s unique blends of cultures. Sarawak stands proud to play a part in promoting world culture and heritage, said Datuk Haji Abd Karim Rahman Hamzah, State Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth & Sports.
It is true indeed that seeing is believing. The Rainforest World Music Festival has brought people of many races closer together and as a local, it has brought me too nearer and appreciating more on Sarawak vibrant culture and traditions.
For the record, this is not my first time to the Rainforest World Music Festival as a festival goer but the 20th Rainforest World Music Festival was my first time covering the multiple award winning and recognitions festival under the Media pass. I am fortunate to be given the opportunity to cover the event under the Sarawak Bloggers Society. There were 3 of us (Miri based bloggers) flew all the way from Miri to Kuching and one of us had even planned for this trip a year ago. That’s how excited and ready she was! I was pretty excited too, excited to rub shoulder with both international and local media representatives.
Due to that, I’ve decided to walk you through my ‘media shoe’ on the glimpse of what’s happening behind the scene as well as my discovery on certain areas throughout the 3 days festival. It will be something different (I think).
Meanwhile, before you get to see from my ‘media lenses’, it is strongly advice to check out my fellow bloggers experience and sharing on the 20th Rainforest World Music Festival. Below are their blog links;

Hey, give this woman a break will ya! I’m still working on upcoming blog post(s) related to the music festival. It will be uploaded accordingly by sequence so stay tuned. 😉
