Sarawak have been independent for 46 years and we achieved it on the 16th September 1963. We, Sarawakian actually helped to form MALAYSIA rather than just join Malaysia.

But the national perseption on this from the media based in the country capital city says otherwise. :(

Despite the fact that the country has achieved success in socio-economic development but politically, we continue to be in the game of race and religion. Malaysia is going through uncertain period of transition of which occupied the headlines daily.

All of these, definitely doesn’t help the Prime Minister concept of 1Malaysia.  On the other hand, we Sarawakian never lost the sense of interracial harmony that has long existed in the state even before Independence.  The sense of mutual goodwill is very visible in here at Sarawak even at Sabah too.

And in relation to the minister dissappointment on not hanging the flag in conjunction of the independence day, what does it has to do with one patriotism? Eventhough I didn’t hang any flag this year, it doesn’t mean I’ve lost my value of patriotism, I do love my country. This is home as I am born here and when I die, I shall be buried here too. Yes, this is HOME.

And to prove that, I’ve bought myself a broadband modem today to get myself updated with matters that one day will change the country history for good. Who knows, right? ;)

ps - i just need to ‘merapu’ (talking crap) about something in conjunction of merdeka day plus what does a modem has to do with Independence Day. ;p
