The Misty Journey to the Forest

Remember my re-routed flight schedule to Miri due to the bad weather in my previous post?

The flight were cancel due to bad weather at Long San so the team had to fly back to Miri. The team quickly sit down to discuss on a contigency plan and finally the decision to travel by land was made. I made the necessary calls for land transportation arrangement and we were lucky enough to get Mr. Ah Hu’s service despite of the last minute arrangement. It was indeed a desperate moment for the team as we had research due dates to meet so things have to go on despite of good or bad weather.

Well, not everybody were happy with the decision to travel by land anyway. At that time, it was not a platform for any negiotiation. ;p

Upon reaching Miri airport, the team immediately boarded on Mr. Ah Hu’s 4wd vehicle to depart for Long San. It was raining cat and dog along the way, the road were wet and muddy and you can feel the 4wd vehicle skidded on the road most of the time. It is quite a scary offroad experience especially when you travel during bad weather. It leave no room to enjoy the scenery but more on your heart pumping hard of worrying your safety throughout the journey. ;p

see how 'clean' is the 4wd vehicle now ;p

Lucky we had an experience driver like Mr. Ah Hu so we arrived our destination safely. 😉

The journey to Long San took us approximately 5 hours (normally it take 3 or 4 hours during dry season) due to the bad weather but along the way, I enjoyed the forest scenery despite of sitting squeezling among 3 guys at the back seat.

Who said it’s gonna be a comfy ride? I’ve anticipate that and it was not a big deal at all for me. 😉

fyi, the wizard land of harry porter is just right ahead, in the mist. ;p

for the 1st time in my life, i saw a rhinoceros hornbill flying passing by us, coming out of nowhere from the mist. i cant explain that feeling and i still had the goosebump and butterflies on my tummy everytime i look back at this pic

stop for muscle stretch and easing our 'blader' ;p

it wouldnt be complete if you dont pose for the camera. actually, i do that on purpose so that i can capture 'mr ah hu peeing at the roadside' moment ;p

Have you ever experience any misty journey before?
