The Most Photogenic Dog Contest

Do you love dog? Do you have dog as a pet? Do you think your dog is cute?

If your answers are ‘YES’ to these questions then allow me to extend my invitation to participate in the ‘2008 Most Photogenic Dog Contest’.

The event is initiated and organized by the (a portal website made by Mirian for Mirian – in general). It is also proudly sponsored by Acquire Ventures; co-sponsored by The United Daily & The Borneo Post; and supported by our local working service dog breeder, developer & trainer: NightWatch K9 and Real-K9.

It is a monthly contest and there will be a monthly winner selected based on the decision made by selected qualified panel of judges. It is intended to start off the contest in the month of May in conjunction of Miri City Anniversary celebration. The contest will go on until the month of December where the finale session will be held and the grand champion will be announced.

The prizes offers are pretty ‘lucrative’ where the monthly winner will walk away with RM300 and 2 consolation prizes worth of RM50 (cash money peeps). Apart from walking away with the cash prizes, the winners will also received hamper of dog goodies (can’t reveal it here but it will definitely pampered your pets and you will smile all the way).

To those who are keen to submit their participation, kindly visit the contest official link at here. Gentle reminders – please read the terms and condition carefully to avoid any un-necessary disputes in future. 😉

To those who are interested to be potential event sponsors, you are welcomed to write to via email ( for more details.

As this event is organized by a portal website, it wouldn’t be fair if the portal members can’t participate. Therefore, they can cast their vote for their favorite photogenic dog (under Public Favorite section) which will be uploading in the forum website later and in this case, the dog owner can enjoy ‘double victory’ should their dog just won the earlier prizes and his/her pet been selected again as the Public Favorite winner. This winner will walked away with special gift which will be disclosed on the day of prize giving.

*whispering to the Administrators to speed up the online vote*

For public who doesn’t have internet access to submit their submission online, you may go and grab The United Daily or The Borneo Post newspaper to fill in the entry form. Look out for the contest shout-out in The United Daily on the 3rd, 8th, 16th & 30th May or on the 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd May in The Borneo Post.

The closing date for the contest is on every 15th of the month and should there be any submission after the due date, it will be brought forward for the following month.

Now, this is the best part. As part of the event committee team, we have received quite good responses from the public. For the very first time, it’s my pleasure to present 11 (out of more than 40 submissions) which I randomly select for viewing purposes.

Hi Ladybird, I just love dogs! My favourite are Dobermans, Pekenese.
The pics you posted are really beautiful. Wow! Some of the dog sare BIG! Danes, Boxers I guess.
There’s a lady here, our neighbour, she keeps a HUGE, white wolf!
Yes, you read it correctly, a Canadian wolf. Really beautiful and much bigger than a Germam Shephard.
She only takes it out very early mornings or late at nights as other dogs will scatter and run on sniffing it as they know wolves are carnivores.
My wife afraid when she brings it out as very big.
Lots og people here keep hybreeds, cross between a wolf and a dog.
Hope what you posted goes very well, you have a good time Ladybird, and stay gorgeous, Lee.
