Walk for Smiles
One of my wish bucket list was to sign up for a marathon. I was inspired to go for it after my colleague participated in last year marathon at Kuala Lumpur. It wasn’t due to wanting to win the marathon but it was for the sake of pushing me for good reasons.
Unfortunately, I can’t make it this year due to unforeseen situation but that will not stop me from participating in the marathon in the near future. I will.
For that, I think I must get ready. I must be physically and mentally fit.
I think God hear my premonition so one day, I succumb into this:
Without any hesitation, I signed up for it.
I am feeling proud of myself (although the day is still round the corner), knowing the fact that, not only I’m giving back to the community but I am also leading a healthy lifestyle.
Columba Asia Hospital, Miri in collaboration with Curtin Student Council is organizing a fund raising for babies and children with cleft palate. All of the fund will be channel to CLAPAM (Cleft Lip & Palate Association of Malaysia). The participation fee is only RM40 and the walkathon and jogathon (you can opt to walk or jog) distance is only 7KM.
Come, let’s make a difference for you might put a smile on the future of our nation. 😉
